Dr. Liang Xiaoyan ’s Three Key Areas of Expertise
Three areas of focused expertise, each supported by a deep subspecialty team, high case volumes and an English-speaking care pathway coordinated by Orisene.
Infertility
She diagnoses the causes of infertility in women and men and designs individualised assisted reproduction plans, including ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilisation, so that couples with long-standing infertility achieve a healthy pregnancy and birth through careful follow-up.
Polycystic ovary syndrome
She treats polycystic ovary syndrome with lifestyle management, ovulation induction and assisted reproduction, carefully controlling metabolic risk and menstrual problems, so that women with this common endocrine disorder can conceive and carry a pregnancy safely to term over the long term.
Fertility preservation
She provides fertility preservation for young women and girls facing cancer treatment, including oocyte, embryo and ovarian tissue cryopreservation and ovarian tissue transplantation, so that patients can protect their reproductive potential before chemotherapy and radiotherapy and preserve hope of a family.
More: repeated implantation failure——individualised treatment; in vitro maturation——IVM; ovulation induction——protocol design; recurrent miscarriage——evaluation; premature ovarian insufficiency——management

1. Nicotinamide Improves Oocytes in Lupus (Science Advances)
This study showed that nicotinamide improves the number and quality of oocytes in a mouse model of lupus, acting through an ac4C/NAT10/Zar1 pathway. It offers a potential strategy to protect fertility in women with systemic lupus erythematosus who need assisted reproduction.

2. Optimizing In Vitro Maturation of Oocytes for Fertility Preservation
This study evaluated in vitro maturation of oocytes after gonadotropin priming in premenarcheal girls undergoing ovarian tissue cryopreservation. The work informs fertility-preservation protocols for young girls and cancer patients who must protect their ovarian function before gonadotoxic treatment in clinical practice.

3. Research on Protecting Fertility in Lupus Patients Reported
Media coverage highlights the team’s research into preserving ovarian function and oocyte quality in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, linking basic science with reproductive care. It explains how such findings may help women with autoimmune disease who pursue pregnancy through assisted reproductive technology.

5. Reproductive Medicine Center: Services and Clinical Strengths
This page introduces the reproductive medicine center’s clinical services, including ovarian stimulation, oocyte retrieval, embryo culture, and fertility-sparing options for cancer patients. It guides people seeking evaluation and treatment for infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and diminished ovarian reserve in a specialized setting.

Why patients travel to China for treatment
Six reasons international patients now put China on their shortlist — from internationally aligned clinical capability to the policy channels that make treatment here genuinely reachable.
Clinical capability at international standard
Chinese hospitals deliver internationally aligned protocols, performing vast volumes of advanced robotic, minimally invasive, and complex transplant surgeries annually. This massive clinical data and highly specialized workforce ensure world-class outcomes, even for rare and complex cases.
Diagnostics and treatment in days, not months
A full medical workup that typically means months of waiting elsewhere is completed in China within 48–72 hours. Imaging, labs, and multidisciplinary consultations are integrated into a single visit, allowing treatment to commence immediately.
Transparent, itemised pricing
Chinese healthcare offers legally binding, itemised cost estimates before treatment begins, eliminating hidden fees or surprise billing. Due to national centralized procurement, total expenses remain 40–70% lower than comparable care in Western Europe or North America.
Policy channels that open the door
China facilitates access through 240-hour visa-free transit and dedicated medical visa routes. Policies like the Greater Bay Area drug pathway and Boao Lecheng’s pilot zone allow designated hospitals to administer innovative therapies not yet globally approved.
