Dr. Lin Zhongqiu ’s Three Key Areas of Expertise
Three areas of focused expertise, each supported by a deep subspecialty team, high case volumes and an English-speaking care pathway coordinated by Orisene.
Cervical cancer
He performs radical hysterectomy, fertility-sparing trachelectomy and laparoscopic surgery for early and locally advanced cervical cancer, integrating radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy to improve cure rates and preserve fertility and quality of life for young women and for patients with recurrent disease.
Ovarian cancer
He treats epithelial ovarian cancer with cytoreductive surgery, including interval debulking and laparoscopic staging, combined with platinum-based chemotherapy and PARP inhibitor maintenance therapy, tailoring treatment to achieve complete resection and prolong overall survival for patients living with advanced ovarian cancer.
Endometrial and vulvar cancer
He manages endometrial and vulvar cancer with minimally invasive surgery, sentinel node biopsy and individualised adjuvant therapy, and has studied treatment patterns and prognosis to guide evidence-based care, reducing recurrence and improving outcomes for patients living with these gynaecologic malignancies.
More:uterine fibroids——surgery; endometriosis——treatment; gynaecologic tumours——laparoscopic surgery; fertility preservation——oncology care; gynaecologic cancer guidelines——authorship
Selected cases, research & publications
Representative work drawn from documented clinical treatments, publicly indexed literature, and hospital project records, reflecting the depth of this physician's hands-on expertise and academic rigor.
1. Fertility-Sparing Surgery for Cervical Cancer
Professor Lin has led fertility-sparing radical surgery for early cervical cancer since 2004, allowing young women to keep the uterus while treating their tumour. His team carefully selects suitable cervical cancer patients and performs radical trachelectomy, so many can still become mothers after cancer treatment.

2. Lin’s Technique for Cervical Cancer Surgery
Professor Lin developed an original nerve-sparing cervical cancer operation known as Lin’s technique. It removes the tumour and affected lymph nodes while preserving pelvic nerves, reducing bladder and bowel problems. Cervical cancer patients recover better function and quality of life, and the technique is taught to gynaecologic surgeons across China.

3. HPV Vaccination Guidance for Cervical Cancer Prevention
Professor Lin led the development of China’s updated HPV vaccination guidance, giving doctors clear recommendations on who should be vaccinated and when. His work stresses vaccinating girls aged 9 to 14 before exposure and combining vaccination with screening, aiming to cut cervical cancer incidence.
4. Radical Hysterectomy for Invasive Cervical Cancer
For women with invasive cervical cancer, Professor Lin insists on thorough radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection when the tumour exceeds two centimetres or has spread. He balances cure against fertility wishes, explaining that saving life comes first, and performs more than 300 cervical cancer operations each year.

5. Ovarian Cancer Cytoreductive Surgery
Professor Lin is expert in debulking surgery for ovarian cancer, removing as much tumour as possible from the abdomen to improve chemotherapy response. Combined with chemotherapy, complete cytoreduction gives ovarian cancer patients longer survival, and his techniques are demonstrated to gynaecologic oncologists at national teaching sessions.
6. Building a Complete Fertility-Preservation System
Professor Lin’s department built a full system for fertility preservation in gynaecologic cancer, covering assessment, surgery and follow-up. Backed by a national clinical key specialty, the team shares experience through training and outreach so more young cervical and ovarian cancer patients can preserve their fertility safely.

Why patients travel to China for treatment
Six reasons international patients now put China on their shortlist — from internationally aligned clinical capability to the policy channels that make treatment here genuinely reachable.
Clinical capability at international standard
Chinese hospitals deliver internationally aligned protocols, performing vast volumes of advanced robotic, minimally invasive, and complex transplant surgeries annually. This massive clinical data and highly specialized workforce ensure world-class outcomes, even for rare and complex cases.
Diagnostics and treatment in days, not months
A full medical workup that typically means months of waiting elsewhere is completed in China within 48–72 hours. Imaging, labs, and multidisciplinary consultations are integrated into a single visit, allowing treatment to commence immediately.
Transparent, itemised pricing
Chinese healthcare offers legally binding, itemised cost estimates before treatment begins, eliminating hidden fees or surprise billing. Due to national centralized procurement, total expenses remain 40–70% lower than comparable care in Western Europe or North America.
Policy channels that open the door
China facilitates access through 240-hour visa-free transit and dedicated medical visa routes. Policies like the Greater Bay Area drug pathway and Boao Lecheng’s pilot zone allow designated hospitals to administer innovative therapies not yet globally approved.
