1. Jin’s three-needle therapy for stroke rehabilitation
Jin’s three-needle therapy is an acupuncture method for stroke rehabilitation promoted by Professor Zhuang Lixing, targeting limb weakness, speech problems and swallowing difficulty after stroke. As a national key specialty technique, it combines specific acupoint groups to improve motor function and daily living ability in patients recovering from cerebral infarction and hemorrhage.

2. Acupuncture for sleep quality in Parkinson’s disease
Professor Zhuang Lixing’s team conducted a randomized clinical trial testing acupuncture for patients with Parkinson’s disease who suffer poor sleep quality. The study reported that compared with sham treatment, acupuncture improved sleep and motor symptoms, supporting its use as a complementary therapy for Parkinson’s disease patients with insomnia and other sleep disorders.

4. Jin’s three-needle spirit-regulating method for Parkinson’s disease
The Jin’s three-needle spirit-regulating method is an acupuncture technique created by Professor Zhuang Lixing for Parkinson’s disease patients with motor and non-motor symptoms. It targets scalp and body acupoints to calm the mind and relax tendons, and is used to relieve rigidity, sleep disturbance and mood problems in Parkinson’s disease patients receiving conventional drug therapy.
5. Acupuncture for functional dyspepsia and digestive symptoms
Professor Zhuang Lixing has studied acupuncture treatment for functional dyspepsia, a common condition causing upper abdominal pain, bloating and early satiety. Using the stomach three-needle and four spirit-needle acupoint combinations, acupuncture is used to regulate gastric motility and relieve digestive complaints, offering patients an alternative to long-term medication.
6. Mechanisms of acupuncture in Parkinson’s disease
This review, co-authored by Professor Zhuang Lixing, summarizes how acupuncture may treat Parkinson’s disease from theory to practice, including effects on the brain-gut axis, neuroinflammation and dopamine neurons. It supports the use of acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to improve motor symptoms, constipation and quality of life in Parkinson’s disease patients.

Why patients travel to China for treatment
Six reasons international patients now put China on their shortlist — from internationally aligned clinical capability to the policy channels that make treatment here genuinely reachable.
Clinical capability at international standard
Chinese hospitals deliver internationally aligned protocols, performing vast volumes of advanced robotic, minimally invasive, and complex transplant surgeries annually. This massive clinical data and highly specialized workforce ensure world-class outcomes, even for rare and complex cases.
Diagnostics and treatment in days, not months
A full medical workup that typically means months of waiting elsewhere is completed in China within 48–72 hours. Imaging, labs, and multidisciplinary consultations are integrated into a single visit, allowing treatment to commence immediately.
Transparent, itemised pricing
Chinese healthcare offers legally binding, itemised cost estimates before treatment begins, eliminating hidden fees or surprise billing. Due to national centralized procurement, total expenses remain 40–70% lower than comparable care in Western Europe or North America.
Policy channels that open the door
China facilitates access through 240-hour visa-free transit and dedicated medical visa routes. Policies like the Greater Bay Area drug pathway and Boao Lecheng’s pilot zone allow designated hospitals to administer innovative therapies not yet globally approved.
